
TBLC Committees
The Annual Program Committee organizes the annual TBLC conferences. Its responsibilities include identifying the conference theme; selecting keynote and closing session speakers; reviewing and selecting proposals for workshops, oral sessions, and posters; implementing changes suggested by TBLC members; and performing additional task as needed to ensure each conferences success.

The Editorial Board reviews all resources, modules and other publications that are submitted to the TBLC for endorsement by the organization.

Chair: Open Position
The Educational Development Committee is responsible for obtaining, evaluating, developing, and disseminating best practices and materials related to TBL to support membership engagement and recruitment. It also plays a key role in organizing the TBLC’s online workshops throughout the year.

The ETBLC is responsible for disseminating TBL to educators and educational institutions across Europe, creating a continental TBL network made up of local communities of practice, and provide resources and development opportunities to every TBL practitioner who engages with us.

The Finance Committee is responsible for the oversight of all financial matters of the Collaborative and for the development of the annual Collaborative financial report and respective budgets.

Chair: Simon Tweddell (University of Bradford, UK)
The Marketing Committee reviews and advises on the marketing activities of the collaborative. It develops and submits an annual marketing plan to the Steering Committee that will identify and coordinate activities of the TBLC committees with the purpose of marketing the collaborative.

The Membership committee of the TBLC develops methods and programs for active membership recruitment and retention. Opportunities for engagement include joining the New Mentee Mentor Program, submitting articles to the TBLC Connection newsletters, or volunteering for the monthly TBL Social Hour. The Nominating Committee is be responsible for determining a suitable group of candidates for election to the Steering Committee.

Chair: Will Ofstad (West Coast University, USA)
The Research & Scholarship Committee is responsible for fostering, enhancing and encouraging the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning within the TBLC. It aids members in developing individual and collaborative research endeavors to measure processes and outcomes associated with TBL, and promotes the publishing of scholarly materials related to TBL. As part of its annual responsibilities, the Committee also peer reviews grant proposals submitted to the TBLC for funding.

The Training and Certification Committee trains individuals to use legitimate TBL practices effectively and certify them as trainer-consultants for other educators.
