Story Musgrave: Multiple Platforms, Domains and Disciplines
“My entire life I have been immersed in a multiplicity of domains and disciplines, sometimes out of choice but many times I got tossed into them and had to work out a survival strategy or better yet some desirable outcome. Sometimes my life in these domains was a serial affair but many times it was a simultaneous mastery of multiple domains that was required. At times it has even been simultaneous mastery of up to 7 or 8 totally different and seemingly unrelated domains. Mastery may involve a contextual selection of a part of a domain or mastery of the entire domain. Depending on the particular domain the level of mastery may be determined by many different metrics such as course completion, tests, certification or meeting performance goals. For me the ultimate mastery was to be accountable and responsible for an outcome that was to meet the world’s expectations. Often the outcome was life or death for me or others or a major catastrophe. Over the years I developed a personal operating methodology to deal with any situation, survive, learn the game and get on to a desirable outcome. I shall show the power of collaborating in multiple worlds, not only in stated principles but as shown through dramatic real life scenarios.”
