Dr. Kamel-ElSayed is an Associate Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB) in Rochester Michigan. Dr. ElSayed teaches physiology for first and second medical students and participates in teaching physiology/pathophysiology for medical students in clinical years. She also co-directs the Cardiovascular Organ System course in the first preclinical year. Currently, she is actively involved in TBL curriculum, not only by incorporating TBL in her teaching but also by being a member in the OUWB TBL oversight team. The team (four faculty members in OUWB) works to promote consistency among TBLs delivered throughout the curriculum. They are responsible for reviewing TBL materials, assisting with the classroom delivery of TBLs, providing mentorship to other faculty who are interested in developing new TBL modules, evaluating TBL peer feedback for first and second year medical students and analyzing student performance on TBLs so they can be improved for future use.
