Dr. Takemoto is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Education at California Health Sciences University where her primary teaching area is pharmacology.  She has taught using TBL for the past 6 years at a pharmacy and an osteopathic medical school.  She has been a part of the TBL-C since 2015 and became a Trainer/Consultant in 2018. She currently serves the TBL-C on the Trainer/Consultant Committee and is the Assistant Editor of the Resource Bank. Her area of research encompass SOTL, Virtual Reality, translational medicine, metabolics, and pharmacokinetics.
