Jennifer Castleberry graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2009 with a Masters of Science in Nursing. Ms. Castleberry is pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Nursing at the University of West Georgia where she is conducting research that focuses on health disparities in the transgender community. Jennifer is a certified Clinical Nurse Leader and holds masters degrees both in nursing and education.

Currently, Ms. Castleberry is a faculty member at Augusta University College of Nursing and the Assistant Program Director for the Clinical Nurse Leader Program. Ms. Castleberry has published and presented nationally on issues related to the LGBTQIA+ community specific to nursing and education. Ms. Castleberry has received awards for both Excellence in Education and Excellence in Research from the Beta Omicron chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International.

She is currently working to increase and improve the use of active learning in the nursing classroom.
