Dr. Drew Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of South Alabama. His research interests are in affine algebraic geometry and improving mathematics education, particularly through the use of standards based grading, and by adapting TBL to teach math via Inquiry-Based Learning, in both the post-secondary and secondary settings. The university’s TeamUSA Quality Enhancement Program named him the 2018 Educator of Distinction for his work implementing and researching the effects of TBL in mathematics courses.
