Naomi Twigg, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing in the Department of Health Systems Science. She teaches an online asynchronous course, health equity and social determinants, using team-based learning to graduate nursing students. She is one of the first faculty members in her department to use team-based learning in an online environment. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she practices as an advanced practice nurse with a specialty in public health on federal projects and researches care management and transitional care models with vulnerable populations.
Naomi received her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing and Master of Science in Community Health Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millersville University and her Associate of Science in Nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania.
