It is our pleasure to announce to you that we have two newly elected members of our Steering Committee. Thanks to all who participated in our recent election process. These new Steering Committee members will initiate their terms immediately.

President-Elect

West Coast University
2021-2023

Member-at-Large: K-12
Christopher Parrish
University of South Alabama
2021-2023

Please join us in congratulating our new Steering Committee members as they join our continuing efforts to make TBLC a leader in promoting the understanding and evolution of TBL across the educational community. We’d also like to extend a sincere thank you to Michael Nelson (Past President) and Lauren Brannan (Member-at-Large: K-12), who will be leaving office, and Michelle Farland, who will be stepping into the role of Past President, for their service to TBLC.

Steering Committee Nominations Due May 15

We need to inform you that an error was made in the original call for nominations for open Steering Committee positions earlier this year. This election cycle we have two positions to fill: Treasurer and Higher Education Member-at-Large. The intent of the Steering Committee was to solicit nominations for a Member-at-Large, Higher Education (Non-Health Sciences). There is another existing Member-at-Large, Health Sciences position on the Steering Committee that is currently filled. The overarching goal of this practice is to ensure diverse representation within the TBLC leadership team. As a result of this error the nomination process is being reset for this year and we are initiating a new call for nominations to both open TBLC leadership positions.

The following positions are up for election this year:
• Treasurer (2 year term)
• Higher Education Member-At-Large, Non Health Sciences (3 year term)

Board meetings are held via video conference call monthly and additional business may be conducted through e-mail.

If this opportunity to expand your influence in Team-Based Learning while advancing the work of TBLC fits your personal career goals, then I invite you to submit your nomination for either Treasurer or Higher Education Member-At-Large. Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged!

Please submit your nominations to https://teambasedlearning.site-ym.com/page/2020nominations

Deadline for nomination is May 15, 2020.
