Lindsey Pershern is an associate professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She is a native Texan, who graduated from medical school at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She focused on training as an educator through membership in a Clinician Educator Track during her training, and has continued her efforts in medical student, resident and other health professional education. She serves as the chair of the TBL committee at UT-Southwestern, where she works on faculty development and support of the integration of TBL throughout the undergraduate medical coursework. She has presented workshops nationally and internationally on TBL and published on scholarly work in TBL. Her current areas of interest include impact of TBL education on teamwork skills, linking assessments to learning objectives and barriers to integration of TBL.
