TBL Consultant – Ghazwa Korayem

Dr. Ghazwa is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is also an internal medicine clinical pharmacist at King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz University Hospital.

Dr.Ghazwa was the College of Pharmacy Vice Dean of Educational Affairs, then the Acting Dean of the College of Pharmacy at PNU until 2019. She has been teaching for over 6 years now, mostly pharmacotherapy courses in large group-size classes of high-level students and also graduate students. Along with didactic Teaching, Dr. Ghazwa precepted pharmacy interns during their pharmacy practice experiences at the University hospital.

In 2020, Dr. Ghazwa won the Interactive teaching award at the College of Pharmacy PNU, and in 2021 she was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award from the College of Pharmacy at PNU.

Dr. Ghazwa has been teaching using team-based learning (TBL) for over three years. Her teaching philosophy is to involve students in their learning. Her mission is to continue to learn and empower learners to be self-directed and motivated learners and She’s committed to build a community of practice for TBL in the Middle east and Saudi Arabia
