#TBLC23 Poster & Oral Abstracts Due October 15

The Team-Based Learning Collaborative extends a warm welcome to join them for their 22nd annual meeting from Saturday, March 11 to Tuesday, March 14, 2023. This year we are planning an exciting conference filled with engaging sessions and plenty of networking opportunities. “Engagement with TBL” is our central theme for this year’s conference. We hope attendees will not only have the opportunity to learn more about the utilization of TBL, but will also explore strategies to create and adapt their TBL classrooms. Abstracts are now welcomed for oral presentations and poster presentations.

Oral Presentations
Conference participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations on topics related to research, innovations or applications of TBL. These oral presentations are brief summaries and should be a maximum of 10 minutes. Please do not include figures in your abstract. More information about the submission instructions can be found here.

Proposals for oral presentations must be submitted by October 15, 2022.  

Poster Presentations
We invite you to submit abstracts for posters on any topic relevant to TBL. Poster presenters will be asked to design a poster to highlight major findings. All attendees of the meeting can submit in advance an abstract for a poster. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee for quality and relevance. Abstracts will be 300 words or less in length. While references are a usual component of a poster, do not include in the 300-word abstract. Please do not include figures in your abstract. Proposals for posters must be submitted by October 15, 2022.

The TThe Team-Based Learning Collaborative would like to share a final reminder to submit abstracts for poster and oral presentation abstracts for the 21st annual meeting. The meeting will be held from Saturday, March 5th to Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 in Orlando, FL, USA.

Virtual Poster & Oral Presentations!
 

This year will offer both in-person and virtual registration options allowing authors the opportunity to choose their method of participation. All accepted presentations will be available to attendees online for viewing in addition to those presented live in Orlando.

Oral Focus Sessions
Conference participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations on topics related to research, innovations or applications of TBL. These oral presentations are brief summaries and should be a maximum of 10 minutes. Presenters will be asked to pre-record their session even if they will attend the in-person conference. Want to present at the #TBLC21 virtual meeting? Here’s how!

The Team-Based Learning Collaborative extends a warm invitation to join them for their 20th annual meeting from Wednesday, March 3rd to Friday, March 5th, 2021. We are planning an exciting virtual conference filled with engaging sessions and plenty of networking opportunities. “Diversity in Learning” is our central theme for this year’s conference. We hope attendees will not only have the opportunity to learn more about the utilization of TBL, but will also explore strategies to meet both diverse learners and diverse learning needs. Abstracts are currently welcomed for workshops and will be welcomed for oral focus sessions, and posters soon. More information in regards to the submission instructions and deadlines can be found below.

Workshops
Conference participants are invited to submit abstracts for live, synchronous workshops in one of two categories: innovations/applications or scholarship/research. Although we are still in the midst of conference planning, we request that you be available between 10AM and 2PM ET during the conference to facilitate a live session. All workshops should be in the TBL format and at a minimum include team applications. An iRAT and tRAT are optional but recommended. All workshops will be delivered using the same online platform. To make sure you are comfortable with the selected platform, detailed instructions and virtual training sessions will be provided for workshop presenters. TBLC 2020 Call for Poster & Oral Abstracts – Due October 15

The Team-Based Learning Collaborative would like to invite you to submit an abstract for presentation at the 19th annual meeting in Portland, Oregon from March 14-17th, 2020, at the Hilton Portland Downtown.
 We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the following oral presentations:

ORAL RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS
Authors are invited to present their research results in an oral presentation. These oral presentations will be 20 minutes in duration, including 10 minutes for the research summary and 10 minutes for a discussion with the audience. 

ORAL FOCUS SESSIONS
Authors are invited to present innovations or applications of TBL that are not research-based. These sessions will help bring creative innovations and new topics of growing interest to the annual meeting. These sessions will be 20 minutes in duration, including 10 minutes to frame the topic of discussion and 10 minutes for a discussion with the audience.

Submission Instructions:

  • Abstracts should be 300 words or less in length
    • Research presentation template: Introduction, methods, results, conclusion
    • Focus session template: Description of the problem or issue, proposed solutions or approaches, limitations
  • References are NOT required for these submissions
  • Criteria for review will include:
    • Importance/significance of the topic
    • Generalizability/Transferability of information for use at other institutions
    • Clarity of the abstract 

Please note that Wifi will NOT be available for focus sessions. Please be sure to plan accordingly.

While we are open to all TBL-related submissions, we are particularly eager to receive submissions focused on non-medical applications of TBL. We look forward to receiving your submissions and hope to see you in Portland in 2020!
